Miranda Cosgrove
---
Miranda Cosgrove has made a name for herself starring as the title character of Nickelodeon's No. 1 cable show iCarly, and now the 16-year-old actress is ready to take on a new challenge: following her first love, music. Fans of the upbeat, sweet-spirited girl have already heard samples of Cosgrove's gorgeous voice - she sang the theme song for iCarly, contributed three additional songs to the iCarly Soundtrack and released a 5-song EP called About You Now in February 2009. Now, the Los Angeles native is showcasing her innate musical talent on her debut solo album, Sparks Fly, which will be released on April 27, 2010.

Kris Allen
---
A year ago, he was a struggling musician living in Conway, Arkansas. Today, he is signed to a major record label with his first album about to be released, and his collaborators include members of the Fray, Train, the Script and Switchfoot and musicians who have written and produced for Maroon 5, Natasha Bedingfield, Fergie, Beyonce, James Morrison, Adele, Duffy, Lily Allen, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, Augustana, Carolina Liar, the Veronicas, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. That's the way things are these days for Kris Allen, winner of the eighth season of "American Idol."

His debut album reveals the 24-year-old to be a three-dimensional artist who has recorded a consummate pop album. "What I wanted to show people more than anything is that I can write songs," says Kris, who co-wrote eight of the songs on his eponymous debut and also composed one song, "Red Guitar," completely on his own.
